I spent thirty years translating complexity into clarity for the world’s most powerful brands—Google, Meta, and American Express. My job was to remove the "fog"—to make everything instant, legible, and efficient.

But in 2011, a single bottle of Borgogno stopped me cold. I tasted something I couldn't name: not fruit, not oak, but time made liquid.

It was a revelation that reached back centuries. My lineage traces to the 1432 Querini shipwreck, where a Venetian vessel was blown off course to the Arctic. Most sailors returned south, but my ancestor stayed in the cold north of Norway. For generations, we were Norwegians, but the DNA remained—a tilt of light, a flicker of warmth.

Today, as Arnaldo Conti, I have put down the corporate stopwatch to pick up the vignaiolo’s lens. I no longer seek to eliminate the fog; I have learned to respect it. I am a cultural translator between the precision of the north and the devotion of the Langhe hills, exploring a simple, radical truth: that patience is not the price of beauty—it is the reason beauty exists.
